    AREAS OF PRACTICE

    Mr. Brown is an experienced litigator with a special emphasis on sexual harassment, employment discrimination and wrongful termination. He also regularly counsels employers on day-to-day employment law issues, such as compliance with workplace statutes and regulations, personnel policies, and risk management protocols including mandatory arbitration. He is recognized as an authority on employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) issues and has authored several articles on the subject. He has also been interviewed or quoted on the subject by several leading publications and news sources including The National Law Journal, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Financial News. His client focus is diverse, including financial institutions, high-technology employers, insurance companies, and professional sports franchises.

    PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

    Mr. Brown is the Managing Shareholder (partner) of Littler Mendelson's San Jose office, and is co-creator of the firm's Risk Management Program. He is a frequent speaker before business and professional associations, as well as a contributing author to The Employer™. On issues of sex harassment, Mr. Brown has also served as an expert commentator for NBC News and Newsweek magazine. In addition to membership in the American Bar Association, Mr. Brown holds membership in the American Inns of Court.
