Lawyer Profile
Lawrence J. Casazza represents a wide variety of businesses and public sector clients in labor and employment law matters, including NLRB matters, collective bargaining, employment discrimination, employment-at-will and labor arbitration. He also serves as an arbitrator and a mediator. He is a seasoned negotiator who has successfully handled negotiations for bargaining units as large as 8,500 employees. He also has handled labor law matters for a broad range of clients including the County of Cook, ConAgra Refrigerated Foods, Pillowtex Corporation and its subsidiary Fieldcrest Cannon, Aftermarket Technology Corp., R.R. Donnelley, Inc., McCain Foods, the University of Chicago Hospitals, American Rubber Products Corp., GS Metals Corp., Evanston School District 65, John Hancock Life Insurance Company and Turtle Wax, Inc.

Mr. Casazza served three years as the Management Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Committee on ADR in Labor& Employment Law and several years as management co-chair of various ABA subcommittees. Mr. Casazza also has been elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, is a member of The National Registry of Who's Who, is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and was recommended by his peers as being in the top half of the top 1% of Illinois attorneys and thus serves on the Leading Lawyers Network Advisory Board. He served on the firm's Executive Committee from 1993 to 1999, and as Chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Area from 1990 to 1993.

Mr. Casazza is a frequent lecturer on labor law matters, having spoken at numerous programs including those conducted by the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, the ABA Labor Arbitration Advocacy Program, the ABA and Northwestern University Law School National Labor and Employment Law Institute, Federal Publications Seminars, the Chicago Bar Association, the Management Association of Illinois, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Illinois Municipal League, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and Fulcrum. He is an adjunct professor of Employment Litigation at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
