John A. Goodman is an associate with the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll. He is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law Group.

Mr. Goodman focuses his practice on a variety of issues that arise out of the employer-employee relationship, including employment policies, workers compensation and labor matters.

Prior to joining Buchanan Ingersoll, Mr. Goodman served as counsel for a large insurance firm, where he focused on workers compensation and civil insurance cases. He also served as a law clerk with the Allegheny County District Attorney in the Appellate Division while completing his law degree.

Mr. Goodman received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Goodman was a member of the Duquesne Law Review, Order of Barristers and Louis L. Manderino Honor Society. He also received an award for Outstanding Achievement from the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and won First Place in the Gourley Moot Court Competition. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Villanova University in 1991.

Mr. Goodman is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is admitted to the Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. Bars. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
