Stephen C. Yohay(Shareholder)Washington Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Steve Yohay represents major employers nationwide in federal and state OSHA inspections and citation contests. He has particular expertise in addressing OSHA investigations, settlement negotiations and litigation following major industrial accidents, including civil and criminal matters. In addition, Mr. Yohay assists employers in conducting safety and health audits under privilege, and provides advice and training on preparing to address OSHA inspections and OSHA compliance issues. Mr. Yohay also represents employers in responding to “whistleblower” complaints. Mr. Yohay has extensive experience in representing major industry trade associations in rulemaking and litigation involving the development and interpretation of OSHA standards. His work has focused on a broad range of industries, with special emphasis on the electric utility, construction, energy and chemical industries. Mr. Yohay was named “the top OSHA lawyer in the country for utility matters” in the 2005 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Additionally, he was recognized as “highly respected both in the industry and with the federal agencies” in the 2006 Chambers USA guide, and as an “acknowledged expert” in OSHA in 2007. Mr. Yohay has spoken before the annual meeting of the Administrative Law Judges of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
