Marian F. Hale(Of Counsel)Washington Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Marian Hale has experience in a wide variety of employment law matters. Before joining Ogletree, Marian served as in-house employment counsel for a nonprofit national broadcasting company as well as for a multinational telecommunications company in Washington, DC. In these positions, she advised her clients on all areas of employment law, including EEO, ADA, wage and hour laws, immigration and employment authorization, Family and Medical Leave, unemployment compensation claims, and employee handbooks and policies. Marian has also appeared before administrative agencies charged with enforcing local and federal employment laws and has advised clients on regulatory compliance. She also has experience in employment benefits, including retirement and executive and deferred compensation plans, as well as executive employment agreements. Marian is a second-career lawyer, having worked for more then 10 years in marketing communications and human resources management before attending law school. During her academic career, Marian was on the Dean’s List at Georgetown University Law Center, a graduate student assistant while at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and inducted into the honor society at the State University of New York at Albany, where she received her bachelor’s degree in three years. Marian teaches Italian for a public school adult education program. In addition to Italian, she speaks French, Spanish, and Filipino.
