Jeanette M. Kang(Associate)Los Angeles Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Ms. Kang primarily practices in the field of employment law. She clerked for the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C., where she handled various employment discrimination cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), and the Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) for the Equal Employment Opportunity Office of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Her work for the Bureau included an article circulated to Deputy Attorneys and other Bureau personnel analyzing the impact of the Notification and Federal Employee Anti-Discrimination and Retaliation Act (“No FEAR” Act) on the Bureau. She also clerked for the employment litigation group for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Ms. Kang comes to our firm with experience in handling collective action cases. Ms. Kang received her J.D. degree from the George Washington University School of Law. While at GW, she was a member of the George Washington Mock Trial Board and served as the student chair for the Committee Against Discrimination and Harassment. Ms. Kang also served as an officer for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Kang worked for a large public accounting firm, Deloitte Tax LLP. She advised large corporate clients on complex multi-state tax issues and worked on appeals against the California Franchise Tax Board at State Board of Equalization proceedings. In addition, Ms. Kang co-founded Live to Give International, a charitable organization providing food, education and medical supplies to orphanages in Kenya devastated by HIV/AIDS.
