Lawyer Profile
Jason Starling focuses his practice primarily on labor and employment law, employment litigation, and commercial litigation. He has assisted in a wide variety of matters including:

  • Writing Veterans and Disabled as well as Race and Gender affirmative action plans for employers;

  • Defending employers in collective bargaining disputes such as grievance arbitration;

  • Defending employers in state and federal discrimination lawsuits;

  • Counseling employers on compliance with EEO workplace regulations such as Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act;

  • Counseling employers on the enforceability of non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure provisions in their employment agreements;

  • Advising employers on the limitations of regulating the practice of religion in the workplace.

    While in law school, Mr. Starling served first as an Associate and later as a Managing Editor of the Indiana Law Journal. Mr. Starling became a member of the Indiana University Trial Team in his second year of law school and tried mock criminal and civil cases in competitions against other law students from around the country.

    Mr. Starling is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations.
