Richard H. Leukart, II(Partner)Baker & Hostetler LLP Lawyer Profile Richard H. Leukart, II, has more than 25 years of experience counseling employers with regard to employee audits, wage and salary and personnel administration issues, over 150 union avoidance and organizational drives, and has represented employers at NLRB, EEOC, and civil rights proceedings, both administratively and in litigation. He has participated in arbitrations, contract negotiations, and litigated matters, including employment at will, equal pay, wage and hour, and sex, race and age discrimination. He counsels employee policies and manuals and counsels employers on day-to-day crises. Mr. Leukart serves as general counsel to several corporations. He handles labor law implications of corporate transactions including reorganizations, acquisition or disposition of assets and stock, and sale of divisions. He also represents several large medical practice plans. Mr. Leukart has made many presentations on union avoidance, assessing employee needs, supervisory training, and employee audits involving assessment of company policies as affected by employment and discrimination laws. He has planned and participated in negotiations, methods of employee communication, and organizational drives. Mr. Leukart appeared on Good Morning America to speak about sexual harassment. He has also held programs on drug testing and dealing with drug and alcohol abuse on and off the job. Mr. Leukart makes use of computerized data in negotiations, organizational drives, and class actions. He has substantial experience in concession and cost reduction bargaining and has managed strikes and concurrent negotiations including temporary and permanent replacement of employees and the creation of non-union departments from unionized sub-departments.
