Charles J. French, III(Partner)Baker & Hostetler LLP Lawyer Profile Charles J. French, III, concentrates his practice in employment, insurance and general civil litigation. He has extensive trial experience, particularly in the area of employment law. Mr. French has defended employers in trials involving claims of discrimination and wrongful termination. He has also tried a number of cases involving personal injury and business-related torts. Mr. French first gained trial experience by handling numerous civil and criminal jury trials as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecuting lawyer. Subsequently, he was appointed a Special lawyer of the United States Department of Justice, where he gained substantial federal court trial experience prosecuting labor racketeers and organized crime figures. Mr. French is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and its Litigation and Labor Law Sections, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Employment Law Section of the Defense Research Institute.
