Madison Baker Wyche, III(Shareholder)Greenville Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile A practicing attorney for more than thirty years, Baker Wyche has extensive legal experience and an understanding of business and personnel issues. Baker has provided legal counsel to employers faced with employment litigation, claims of discrimination and union campaigns. His experience includes negotiating contracts for employers with bargaining obligations and arbitrating disputes arising under collective bargaining agreements, as well as under employment and severance agreements. He has worked with employers in many different industry groups, as diverse as manufacturing and healthcare, financial, automotive, telecommunication, software and transportation, among many others. His experience provides the background and understanding for advice to employers in risk analysis, strategic planning and litigation avoidance. A member of the International Committee of the Section on Labor and Employment of the ABA, Baker's experience includes advising companies from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden and elsewhere, on doing business in and compliance with the laws of the United States and the acquisition of companies in the United States, particularly where employees are represented. He has assisted domestic companies with their needs in the international arena, including issues dealing with immigration, union relations and business ethics. He has met with the Department of Commerce in the United States Embassy abroad regarding issues of domestic companies doing business abroad. Elected to the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, Mr. Wyche graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Business Administration. He was Co-Editor of Labor and Employment Law for South Carolina Lawyers, published in 1999 by the South Carolina Bar Association. He has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations and is listed in Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in Emerging Leaders. A frequent lecturer on the subject of labor relations and employment law, Mr. Wyche has appeared as a guest speaker before trade associations, conventions and academic institutions.
