Lawyer Profile
Mr. Sar represents corporations in all aspects of Labor and Employment law. He devotes his practice to representing employers in lawsuits and administrative proceedings involving discrimination and harassment, ERISA, wrongful discharge, whistleblowers, labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, wage and hour disputes, union avoidance, employment contracts, non-competition/trade secret disputes, commercial disputes and employment class actions. He advises management regarding all types of human resource problems and strategies, including discipline matters, termination decisions, employment contracts, arbitration agreements, and wage and hour law compliance. Mr. Sar has tried cases to jury verdicts in federal and state courts in North Carolina, defended employers in government administrative hearings and has handled appeals at all levels of the North Carolina appellate courts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Named to the North Carolina Business Legal Elite, Mr. Sar is a member of the North Carolina Bar Labor Section Council for the term 2005 to 2008. He contributes and provides editing to the North Carolina Employer's Desk Manual. He is a member of The Conference Table, an advocacy group for the hospitality industry. He currently serves on The Board of Directors of The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. He served on the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors from 1996 to 2002. He was a member of the legal committee of the Triangle's bid to host the Pan American Games, a member of the City of Raleigh Arts Grant Committee from 1996 to 1999 and served on the Wake County Convention Center Task Force in 2003.

While attending law school on an academic scholarship, Mr. Sar was elected to membership in Phi Kappa Phi honor society, Order of the Barristers and served as Managing Editor of The Campbell Law Review. Mr. Sar worked in the George Bush, Sr. White House.
