Calvin Garner Sanford, Jr.(Shareholder)Atlanta Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Garner Sanford began his legal career as an associate in the Atlanta office of Ogletree Deakins in 1988, where he focused on labor and employment law. Garner engaged in the general practice of law with a law firm in Virginia from 1990 to 1995. Since returning to the Atlanta office of Ogletree Deakins in 1995, Garner has been elected as a shareholder and continues to dedicate his practice to representing employers in all facets of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, union avoidance, collective bargaining, labor-management relations, non-competition agreements, employment policy development and administration, and wage and hour matters. Garner represents employers before state and federal courts and before various administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, U.S. Department of Labor, and state labor departments. While Garner handles litigation and other adversarial claims on a daily basis, he spends a significant portion of his time training and counseling employer representatives on ways to minimize or avoid labor and employment litigation and disputes.
