Lawyer Profile
Ms. Poplawski has practiced in the employment law area since 1986. She is a trial attorney focusing on employment litigation with a special emphasis of late on litigation involving sexual, racial and other forms of workplace harassment. Ms. Poplawski has acted as lead trial counsel in numerous employment discrimination/wrongful discharge cases, and has tried discrimination cases before juries in the federal district courts in Illinois and Ohio and before the Illinois Human Rights Commission. Ms. Poplawski has been involved in multiple plaintiff litigation brought by both private counsel and the EEOC in cases alleging age discrimination in company-wide reductions-in-force, racial harassment, and racial discrimination. She also acted as lead counsel in class action litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
