Tibor Nagy represents employers in all facets of labor and employment relations law, including discrimination and wrongful discharge cases, wage and hour law, employment contracts and manuals, and labor-management relations.  He also provides litigation avoidance advice on a broad spectrum of federal and state employment laws and regulations.  Mr. Nagy has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 1996 and is included in the 2006 edition of The Chambers USA Guide.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Nagy served as a law clerk to the Honorable William E. Eubank, Arizona Court of Appeals. Following his clerkship, Mr. Nagy joined the regional general practice firm of Snell & Wilmer, L.L.P. as an associate in its labor & employment section, and was a partner with that firm from 1991 to 2006.
. Mr. Nagy has substantial experience litigating and successfully defending employers in matters in both federal and state courts, including appellate courts and the Arizona Supreme Court, as well as before administrative agencies and arbitrators.  These matters have included the defense of cases arising under the federal and state employment discrimination statues, wage and hour laws, the ADA, ERISA, the ADEA, and the FMLA.  Mr. Nagy also has successfully defended employers against state law claims for wrongful discharge, employment torts, and defamation, and has litigated both the defense and enforcement of restrictive covenants.  Many of these cases were favorably decided on motions for summary judgment.  Mr. Nagy also has considerable past experience defending employers in workers" compensation claims before the Industrial Commission of Arizona.  Additionally, Mr. Nagy is one of only a handful of attorneys located in Tucson, Arizona with experience defending employers before the National Labor Relations Board, including representation elections, and hearings pertaining to representation petitions and unfair labor practice complaints. 

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Nagy has provided employers with practical advice and solutions to human resources problems, with an emphasis on how to avoid employment-related disputes before they start.  In this regard, Mr. Nagy also has drafted hundreds of employment contracts, employment handbooks, and employer policies for a wide variety of industries and jobs.
