Lawyer Profile
Ms. Merritt devotes her legal practice to representing management in all aspects of employment law.  She has litigated a wide variety of employment issues on the federal, state, and local levels before courts and administrative agencies.  She also works closely with her clients to provide counseling and consultation on employee matters and policy revisions.

Ms. Merritt is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law where she served as Articles Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow, and President of the Black Law Students Association.  After law school, she served as a law clerk for Chief United States District Judge U.W. Clemon of the Northern District of Alabama.  She joined Ogletree Deakins in September 2005.
