Mr. Mathisen concentrates his practice on matters involving ERISA litigation, bad faith litigation, labor and employment law, and HIPAA.  His practice in the area of ERISA includes the litigation of pension, life, health, disability, and employee benefits issues throughout the United States. He also litigates non-ERISA breach of contract and bad faith claims across the United States.  He is Certified by the State of Indiana as a civil mediator.  Mr. Mathisen has served as counsel for the City of Valparaiso's Ethics Commission since 2004.  Mr. Mathisen speaks on ERISA and labor and employment topics.
