Phillip A. Kilgore(Shareholder)Greenville Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Mr. Kilgore has extensive litigation experience, representing clients in administrative tribunals and state and federal courts. He litigated cases in diverse areas such as employment disputes (discrimination, restrictive covenants, wrongful discharge and tortious conduct), products liability, shareholder disputes and other commercial disputes. Mr. Kilgore also has represented clients in insurance cases involving ERISA, coverage disputes and EPLI. Mr. Kilgore has a specialty in complex litigation where he has represented clients in environmental and toxic tort cases, intellectual property cases and class actions. Mr. Kilgore also has an extensive practice offering advice to clients on preventive measures pertaining to employment laws and relationships, personnel policies, labor relations and business issues. His objective is to assist the client in seeking cost effective approaches to workplace problems before they become expensive lawsuits or administrative charges. Mr. Kilgore works with clients to protect valuable business assets, drafting employment agreements and restrictive covenants and advising them on measures to protect their trade secrets from misappropriation and their customers from unfair competition. Mr. Kilgore assists clients in finding solutions to business problems arising in the context of local government, including zoning matters and ordinances. Prior to joining the firm in 1986, Mr. Kilgore was a criminal prosecutor in Greenville, South Carolina, where he prosecuted white collar crimes, drug cases and crimes of violence. Before that, Mr. Kilgore served as law clerk to The Honorable Frank P. McGowan, Jr., State Circuit Judge.
