Steven M. Stastny(Partner)Ford & Harrison, LLP Lawyer Profile Steve Stastny was born and raised in upstate New York. He graduated from Columbia University with an A.B. in political science and obtained his law degree from Tulane University. While at Tulane, Steve served on the editorial board of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, was appointed a Senior Teaching Fellow, and was twice awarded the American Jurisprudence Prize. Upon graduation, Steve practiced law in New Orleans for two years and later moved to Birmingham to practice law in a labor and employment boutique. Steve joined Ford & Harrison in July of 2001 and heads up the firm's Birmingham office. Steve has extensive experience in defending employers in all types of protected class and protected conduct discrimination, retaliation and harassment suits. He is licensed in both Alabama and Louisiana and is a member of the various federal courts in Alabama and Louisiana as well as the 5th and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
