John C. Glancy(Shareholder)Greenville Employment Lawyer Lawyer Profile Mr. Glancy was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and grew up in Naples, Florida. After serving for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Glancy attended the University of South Carolina where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English in 1991. Mr. Glancy then attended the University of Florida College of Law from which he graduated with honors in 1994. While in law school he received honors in Legal Research and Writing and the book awards for the highest grade in Appellate Advocacy and Family Law. Mr. Glancy also served as a tutor in contracts law for the College's Council of Ten. Mr. Glancy's practice focuses on labor and employment law, including employee relations and related federal and state litigation. He also regularly assists clients with contract disputes and non-compete and trade secrets advice and litigation. His experience also includes litigation under the new Sarbanes-Oxley Act, counseling clients on wage and hour compliance under the Fair Labor Standards Act and performing compliance audits under the FLSA, drafting and enforcing employment contracts, drafting and reviewing employment policies and procedures, counseling management and conducting management training seminars, and representing employers before state administrative agencies.
