Jennifer L. Colvin is an attorney in the Chicago office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., where she represents management in labor relations and employment matters. Ms. Colvin began her legal career as an Administrative Law Judge with the Illinois Labor Relations Board, specializing in public sector labor law.  Ms. Colvin also has extensive litigation experience in representing private sector management in a variety of employment and tort related matters. 



Ms. Colvin is the co-author of the article ?Critical Issues Under the Fair Labor Standards Act,? Vol. 13, No. 2, Illinois Defense Quarterly, (2003).  She is also the co-author of the article ”42 U.S.C. Section 1981 Claims: An Overview:” No. 9, International Association of Defense Counsel Newsletter, (2005).  Ms. Colvin has also been a frequent contributor to a quarterly column published in the Illinois Defense Quarterly updating recent developments and issues in employment law.
